Fast Start Tutor - MICR Alignment

The Quick and Easy way to get started using SecureCheck is to Print a Test Page and make sure the MICR encoding is positioned properly. 

Use plain paper for this test.


Go to Start \ Programs \ SecureCheck.



From  the
Main Menu Select <PRINTER


<Highlight> the Sample Check.


Select <Print Checks> then <Close> this window.

Using a ruler on the page that you just printed, measure the distance from the left edge of the paper to the right edge of this    symbol.
The space should measure 3".

Now measure the distance from the bottom of the MICR numbers to the bottom edge of the paper.
This space should measure 1/4" ( + or - 1/32" ).



If
MICR encoding is Not positioned properly and needs to be adjusted:

Select <
Print Aligner> from the Main File menu.


Click <LOCKED> to remove the X and Unlock the Print Aligner.


Make the appropriate adjustments Up or Down, Left or Right.  A slight 0.05 may be all you need.

Click <
LOCKED> again to Lock the Print Aligner then <Close> this window.

Select <
VIEWER> from the Main Menu


Check the box   Print Pending to select the Sample Check for Reprinting.

Click <Here> to Reprint this Check.
